Are you an energetic, compassionate, and experienced support worker who enjoys working with children? Grace Quality Care is seeking a reliable and playful **NDIS Support Worker** to support a bright and creative 7-year-old boy with **Autism (AuDHD)** and traits consistent with **Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)**.

About the Participant:
This curious and clever child is full of personality and enjoys:

- **Scootering around the park**:

- **Imaginative play and humour**:

- **Attending social groups**

He requires a support worker who can meet him at his level—someone who is patient, fun, and understands how to support his needs using a gentle, low-demand, and child-led approach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide calm, consistent, trauma-informed support during in-home and community activities
- Encourage engagement through play and shared interests
- Assist with emotional regulation and transitions, using PDA-aware strategies
- Maintain accurate progress notes aligned with NDIS reporting requirements
- Collaborate with the child’s family and other professionals where appropriate

About You:

- Minimum **12 months experience** supporting children with Autism and/or PDA
- Strong understanding of **PDA approaches** (e.g., indirect prompting, low-demand communication, collaborative problem-solving)
- Trauma-informed, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent
- Active, creative, and flexible in adapting to the child’s communication and sensory needs
- **NDIS Worker Screening Check**, **WWCC**, **First Aid & CPR** required
- Driver’s licence and own vehicle preferred

Availability:

- **Weekdays preferred/ some weekends** - specific times to be negotiated with the family
- 1 shift per week to start, with potential for increase based on rapport and routine

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.88 - $35.15 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week

**Benefits**:
