- Position Summary**In this role you will**:

- Mentor, coach and provide effective leadership and direction to the Municipal Laws and Public Assets team
- Providing advice on Construction Management, Asset Protection, Local Laws, Enforcement, Fire Management, Animal Management and other issues in a timely accurate manner to stakeholders
- Lead the delivery of regulatory services in local government
- Be an expert in the legal system in the context of Municipal Law enforcement including prosecutions and brief preparation
- Present information clearly in particular in reports and presentation

**You will have**:

- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in a similar or related field
- Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict and stressful situations
- Extensive involvement in delivery of regulatory services in local government and a high level of competence in leading staff and contract management
- A sound understanding of the social, political and legal framework in which local government operates
- A broad and detailed knowledge of the legal system in the context of Municipal Law enforcement
- Current Victorian Driver’s License.
- COVID vaccination certificate
