Aegis Balmoral is a Facility that opened in the later half of 2015. A host of unique aged care building innovations have been incorporated that create a safe, comfortable, stylish and functional environment.

All rooms are single with ensuite, ensuring privacy for residents and their visitors. The rooms are excellently appointed with nurse call buttons as standard. The facility itself features a movie theatre, two cafés, manicured courtyards, private dining areas, hydrotherapy room and free underground visitor parking.

Located close to the Swan River on a quiet residential street, Aegis Balmoral is easily accessible from the Kwinana Freeway. Cafés, restaurants and the Perth Zoo are only a short walk or drive away.

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-driven individual to join the Balmoral team as a Therapy Assistant on a casual basis.

As an integral part of the team, you will:

- Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
- Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.
- Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.
- Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
- Accompany Resident groups on outings.

**Requirements of the role**
- Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience. (Desirable but not essential).
- Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Have empathy with the elderly.
- Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
