**Moreton Bay College is seeking a creative, dedicated Early Childhood Teacher who has a genuine passion for child-centred learning for Kindy.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- The Early Childhood Teacher is required to:_
- Provide an engaging child-centred, inquiry based learning program for the children.
- Work within the IB PYP framework; the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Kindergarten Guidelines.
- Engage with innovative ICT practice.
- Perform such duties as are customarily rostered and shared by all staff, and such other duties as may be agreed upon.
- Co-operate with senior staff in the organisation and management of the College and to maintain such records as may be required by the College.
- Help foster strong relationships between parents, the community and the College.
- Help promote a spirit of unity among the staff.
- Be positive in support of the College rules, tradition and Christian ethos, both within the College and outside when the student is identifiable to the College.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES***:

- The Early Childhood Teacher must be:_
- A self-directed learner
- Familiar with current PYP, Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards & Kindergarten Guildelines.
- Prepared to approach change positively.
- Flexible in approach and thinking.
- Passionate about teaching and learning.
- Empathetic to the needs of students and parents.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Committed to continuous improvement.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- Must hold an appropriate tertiary qualification
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program would be an advantage.
- Should preferably have experience teaching in Queensland schools or an understanding of the Queensland system.
- Must work within the guidelines of the AITSL professional standards for teachers.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
- Must be registered with Queensland College of Teachers.
- Must be a qualified Early Childhood Teacher
- Must have current Working with Children (or positive exemption) card.
- A current first aid certificate.
