**About the Role**

As a Home Care Worker, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians in **Newcastle and surrounding suburbs** to assist them to remain living independently in their home, you will travel between clients’ homes, so a willingness to travel up to a 60 km radius will be required.

This is a casual opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday, with no evening or overnight shifts. Standard shifts are between 2 to 4 hours. You will joining one of Australia’s leading social purpose providers with a dedicated leadership team to support you. **Key Responsibilities**
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Personal Care including grooming and showering
- Supporting with tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients

**Skills & Experience**
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) preferred
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
