Warehouse Manager

**Business Contribution**:
This position supports the Regional Operations Director for inventory planning, purchasing, distribution, and logistics operations, including developing appropriate processes and strategies to ensure the fulfilment of orders and shipments are at acceptable level for our distribution channels and customers.

The role will also be responsible to analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage daily operations of product distribution, including receiving and put away of goods, maintaining on hand inventory, picking, packing, and shipping, completion of work orders.
- Maintain high standard of health, safety, and industrial hygiene
- Establish and monitor effective KPI’s to track labor capacity, utilization, and efficiency
- Forecast inventory needs, calculate and control stock levels to minimize stock-outs while effectively managing cash flow, reduce slow and obsolete inventory
- Ensure near-perfect inventory accuracy by location within the ERP system through process controls.
- Maintain item master files in the ERP system to reflect actual business conditions
- Identify and manage continuous improvement opportunities. Design, implement, and document processes aimed at improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate warehouse team
- Manage quality complaints relating to warehouse operations and escalate warranty claims to manufacturers
- Develop, maintain, and adhere to an operating budget
- Liaise with manufacturers, sales, and customer service representatives to ensure customer expectations are met
- Monitor past due backlog and on-time delivery, respond to unfavorable trends quickly and appropriately
- Keep up to date on latest relevant regulations and standards

**Required Capabilities (describe scope of knowledge and ability of the position)**:

- Strong background in inventory management and warehousing practices for receiving and put away, picking, packing, and shipping
- Understanding of hazards and safety risks in a shop environment, risk mitigation and control
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases, familiar with operating within an ERP system like Oracle or SAP.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of typical warehouse KPI’s, data analysis, inventory management, and forecasting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to implement and carry out continuous improvement initiatives, including changes to ERP and/or warehouse management software systems
- Able to define problem statements, solve problems creatively, and make sound decisions
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to interact with customers as required.
- Basic understanding of purchasing function
- Ability to work in shop environment and perform physical tasks safely

**Required Experience & Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, inventory management, supply chain management or business administration (or related)
- Minimum 8 years related experience and/or training as a warehouse, operations, or inventory Manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience or knowledge of shipping documentations, distribution logistics, inventory, and warehousing operation
- Experience in purchasing and/or warehousing environment for an MNC or any company with regional and overseas dealings.
