Gardener

The successful applicant should be self-motivated, love working outdoors, and have a high standard of work ethic and confidence whilst working unsupervised.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**:

- Being part of a team to complete commercial, government, and residential garden maintenance across multiple sites
- Regularly liaising with team and staff.
- Scheduling the job with clients
- General garden maintenance work - Weeding, raking, mowing, edging, hedging, pruning of small trees and shrubs, etc.
- Examining plants to assess their condition and determine treatment
- Spraying and dusting plants and trees to manage the insects and control diseases, maintaining the overall well-being of the plants.
- Treat pests and diseases in both garden and turf areas as directed
- Treat weeds in both garden and turf areas as directed
- Assisting with propagating, planting, and potting seeds, bulbs, and cuttings
- Monitor the health of plants, trees, and shrubs
- Seasonal fertilizing, mulching, and top dressing of lawns
- Soft landscaping works - planting, minor irrigation work, turf installation, etc.
- Constructing gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, and garden decorative accessories and furniture.
- A range of other relevant horticultural works

**To be considered for this role, you should**:

- Be willing to travel to multiple locations in Sydney
- Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.
- Have at least 2 years of work experience
- Very good communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
- Pride in your work and an eye for detail
- Willingness to adhere to WH&S standards
