Gecko MMS is a nationwide maintenance repair company for the federal government and various other large organisations. We are seeking to expand our team and currently have positions available in Canberra. We are seeking professional individuals to provide high-quality handyman services.

About the role:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, on-site personnel and other Gecko staff
- Remove and/or install whiteboards, signage, screens, etc.
- Relocating furniture and office equipment throughout the building
- Minor repairs and maintenance (commercial)
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify opportunities for proactive works
- Escorting other contractors for emergency/critical works throughout the building
- Building walk throughs to identify any cleaning, waste or maintenance issues
- Following WHS best practice and company processes

What we are looking for:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- General maintenance experience, inclusive of using hand and power tools
- Flexibility to work independently without supervision and / or in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and people skills with an friendly, helpful and knowledgeable personality
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Adequate computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to make decisions and strong problem solving skills
- Speciality security clearances (preferred, not essential)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
