About this opportunity*
Within the PACT Contract Manufacturing division Pascoe’s is one of Australia’s largest manufacturers of aerosols and liquid based consumer products in the Household & Industrial Chemicals categories. We are seeking a motivated self-starter, who has the desire to make a difference and will thrive in this Maintenance Fitter role.
Maintenance Fitter will work closely with the engineering/maintenance function to ensure the highest standards of asset care, while supporting Safety, Quality, and Production.
With a strong commitment to accelerate safety and productivity performance, you will have a continuous improvement lens and best practice maintenance methodologies as you support the site.
They also undertake plant and equipment modifications to improve overall production throughput.
**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Undertake responsive breakdown maintenance through fault finding and problem solving.
- Undertake routine preventative maintenance to avert potential breakdowns and ensure equipment is operating in a consistent and reliable manner.
- Plans and carries out modifications to plant and equipment to increase productivity, ease of use and reliability.
- Utilise MEX Maintenance Software to develop and monitor equipment performance mechanisms and optimization strategies for maintenance of equipment and improvement strategies.
- Undertake investigations into breakdowns and equipment failures.
- Works to achieve optimum WHSE outcomes for production area through a positive safety mindset and following safety procedures and reporting.
- Recording required maintenance related documentation.
- Attending workshops and training sessions.
- Provide training to others as appropriate.
- Set up Aerosol filling machinery along with aux equipment (labellers, Scales, auto packing machinery )
- Trouble shoot and repair filling line equipment
- Optimist filling line output
- Minimise equipment down time through effective fault finding and problem solving.
- Undertake proactive maintenance while minimising production down time.
- Deciding on the most efficient and effective approach to problem solving and proactive maintenance initiatives.

Your skills and experience*
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- A keen eye for detail
- Previous Aerosol filling line manufacturing and maintenance experience preferred
- Working/functional knowledge of SAP system
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite/computer skills
- Collaborative, transparent and enabling approach.
