
Rma Technician

The main purpose of Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) Technician is to be the central point of contact for the RMA process within Seeing Machines.
**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Physically receiving RMA components.
- Prioritizing components for inspection in accordance with business needs.
- Inspecting and testing RMA components to confirm the acceptance (or not) of warranty for the component.
- Repairing components if financially appropriate to do so.
- Raising RMA's with Seeing Machines manufacturers.
- Coordinating the shipping of RMA's to manufacturers.
- Receiving RMA's from manufacturers and confirming that repair or replacement has occurred.
- Updating the appropriate documents to assist in tracking the status of RMA for business needs.
- Returning repaired or replacement stock to Spare Parts.
- Returning refurbished or repaired product to Customers or Distributors.
- Disposing or recycling unrepairable components.
- Refurbishing returned components for use as Spare Parts as directed.
- Analyzing RMA activity to understand failure rates, repair rates and to advise on systemic faults.
This role is only available to Seeing Machines' internal employees. We are also not accepting referrals for this role.

- High School Certificate and further study in a related field.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products
- Understanding of and willingness to comply with relevant WH&S requirements
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Practical understanding of network technology
- Technical and fault-finding skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
