**About your new role**:
The Clinical Governance Specialist provides advice and support internal stakeholders to improve the quality of care and allied health services that are delivered to our customers while also empowering our team members to implement contemporary clinical practice in line with Baptistcare’s service delivery model.

**Duties**:

- Assists in the development, implementation and review of the Clinical policies and procedures using evidence-based research.
- Supports the clinical team to provide well considered clinical guidance; collaborates with the team to research, develop and recommend changes needed to meet customer expectations, the Aged Care Quality Standards and drive service improvement.
- Analyses clinical data and practices to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care, and reports findings and recommendations to GM Clinical Services.
- Provides a customer focused service to leaders through the responsive provision of advice and guidance related to safe and effective clinical practices.

- Provides clear, consistent feedback on clinical governance outcomes and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Supports the operations to effectively carry out audits against the Aged Care Standards and to develop Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI) to ensure improved outcomes for customers.
- Provides advice and support in the preparation of Accreditation and other submissions as required, e.g., ACQSC.
- Establishes and manages second line auditing and first line monitoring systems which support continuous improvement across all clinical streams.
- Audits and reports on compliance against the Aged Care Standards.
- Work in accordance with Baptistcare’s Code of Conduct.
- Ensure safe and sound work practices that comply with Work, Health, and Safety policies and procedures and relevant legislation.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A strong commitment to excellence and quality in the provision of aged care related services with a sound working knowledge of continuous improvement, quality principles, and accreditation.
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Highly developed leadership skills and the ability to act as a positive role model for team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure the achievement of quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to be flexible in undertaking duties at different locations as required.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent and well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including sound knowledge of computer skills.
- An ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements including an ability to lead others through the process of change.
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Willingness to obtain or provide proof of
- Up-to-date Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccinations
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
