**About us**

The Children's Court of Victoria (ChCV) has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and in some cases up to 19 years. It has a Family Division and a Criminal Division and it sits at locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

**About the role**

The Conference Intake Officer and Registrar will require the provision of assistance to the Conference Registrar in the Loddon Mallee Region and the Manager, Alternative Dispute Resolution (based in Melbourne) in delivering outcomes in a timely manner in a high-volume court environment, including the preparation and submission of reports to convenors, correspondence to relevant parties and compilation of statistics under limited direction.

The role will require undertaking a range of functions including the intake, risk assessment, listing of conferences and assisting with coordination functions.

The position will deliver high quality service whilst building relationships with clients and stakeholders and liaise effectively with the judiciary, convenors and personnel within the Court and other government agencies.
