**Role Description/Criteria**

It is essential that the successful applicant is committed to the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

The successful applicant must demonstrate:

- an ability to establish meaningful relationships with students and families
- collegiality and the ability to work collaboratively and enthusiastically with his/her peers
- an ability to lead the school community to an understanding that action in terms of social justice is a key element of our Catholic tradition
- a preparedness to be active in our school community and involved in extra-curricular school activities.

The successful applicant will:

- have a deep understanding our our Catholic Traditions and be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
- hold a current VIT Registration
- possess an ability to engage students in purposeful learning situations that are student centred
- create vibrant classrooms where all students are challenged and engaged, motivated and energised
