About The Role
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement effective inventory planning strategies to meet production and operational requirements.
- Conduct regular analyses of inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimise stock levels.
- Collaborate with the procurement team and various site stakeholders to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained in order to support maintenance and production functions.
- Implement and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Address discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent inventory issues.
- Explore and implement new technologies to improve inventory tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with warehouse, production, and procurement teams to coordinate inventory movements and optimise processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the inventory function.
- Implement best practices and benchmarks for inventory management.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Proven experience in inventory analysis, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with Pulse Mining or similar industry-specific ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
