We’re seeking a friendly, confident, and organised **Dental Assistant/Receptionist** to join our team in Mona Vale on a **12-month maternity leave contract** — with the **potential to become a permanent role**. This role is essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients while supporting the daily operations of the practice both in the clinic and, at times, the front desk.

**About the Role**:

- 3-4-day work week (8:30-5:30). No weekends
- This position would be ideal for someone looking to work part time hours on a permanent basis. The regular shifts would equal approximately 50 - 60 hours a fortnight, giving you a great work life balance.
- Provide chairside assistance to our dental practitioners
- Preparing treatment rooms
- Maintaining a high level of sterilization and infection control procedures
- Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression
- Carrying out reception duties
- Book and amend appointments, answering the phone, handling payments
- Supporting the team with the smooth running of the practice
- Promoting the practice and building positive relationships with patients
- Consistent high-quality patient care
- Convenient Mona Vale village location (no train line)

**About you**:
**You'll be**:

- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting preferred
- Minimum 6 months of demonstrated experience required in dental assisting, infection control and sterilisation
- Praktika experience preferred but not essential
- Admin or Reception experience preferred
- You're a motivated self-starter
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional chairside and phone manners
- Passionate about customer service and patient care
- Organised with attention to detail, and ability to prioritise workloads and multiple demands
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
- Friendly, reliable, a team player who is willing to learn and take initiative

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
