**Instrumental Music Contractor - Cello and Double Bass**

The Kilbreda College Music Program is growing in string music following the successful introduction of a classroom Year 7 Orchestra Program. Recent enrolments have increase, therefore we invite suitability qualified and experienced cello and double bass professionals to become an instrumental music tutor. We have five existing enrolments, with the high chance of further growth, as the second semester of this program begins. There may also be a future opportunity to provide services in an ensemble.

Tertiary music students are welcome to apply.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide tuition to individual students, or groups of students, with specific instrumental and/or ensemble music lessons
- Inspire, motivate and guide students towards regular practice and continuous improvement
- Keep detailed records of each instrumental music lesson with the student/groups
- Assist and/or supervise students during instrumental and/or ensemble music lessons, rehearsals and concert performances as required
- Work collaboratively as a member of the Kilbreda community to develop resources and materials to support student instrumental and ensemble music programs
- Undertake administrative tasks as requested
- To observe the confidentiality and privacy expectations of the College

**About You**
- Qualifications in music/performing arts, with experience
- Recognised teaching qualifications with current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or Working with Children Check (employee) and National Police Check
- Experience in an educational environment (advantage)
- A strong commitment to teamwork and working collaboratively with others
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and an understanding of the importance of charism and spiritual tradition in the life of an order-owned Catholic school
- A commitment to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children

You will be engaged as an Independent Contractor for this period and will therefore need to have a current ABN, including Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
