We're hiring a **Production Technician **to join our team

**Position description**:
Carry out production of batches to meet orders and include any decision making in line with meeting the quality and quantity standards.

Ensure the manufacturing and production of product complies with HSE requirements and regulations including SOPs for all plant functions. Collaborate with the quality department to ensure quality standards are met. Collaborate with the HSE coordinator to develop and maintain SOPs and other HSE documentation and ensure that the production area meets Stoller safety standards. Manage best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst mentoring, leading and training of team members. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate production to meet production plan on your relevant shift
- According to HSE requirements, manufacture batches of liquid fertiliser.
- Complete and record prestart checks on manufacturing machinery
- Co-ordinate and lead prestart and toolbox meetings with production employees on your shift
- Complete postproduction tests on finished products to ensure the specifications are met
- Collaborate with the WHSE Coordinator in the review of WHSE documentation as required
- Act as back up for Warehouse Co-ordinator as required
- Clean and maintain used IBC's and return to stock where suitable
- Action directions on product or raw materials placed in quarantine as described in the procedure
- Organise and provide training for production employees in line with documented training plans

**Qualifications**:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced spreadsheet skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership in HSE programs in a manufacturing plant environment
- Up to date knowledge of WHSE laws and regs and compliance
- Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations
- Strong and confident written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proven time management skills with ability to meeting deadlines in a timely manner
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and problem-solving skills within a team environment
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25kg.
- Required to stand, walk, climb platforms and reach with hands and arms.
