**About the Opportunity**
This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. Internally referred to as a Systems Engineering Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all system requirements are accurately captured, documented, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
This role is a permanent full time opportunity, based from Osborne.
**Responsibilities**
- Capture, document, and maintain system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and met.
- Ensure all requirements comply with defence standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements in requirements management processes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports on requirements status.
- Participate in compliance audits and ensure adherence to standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to resolve requirements-related issues and gather feedback.
**About you**
- Experience in systems engineering, document management, configuration management or as a technical control officer
- Hold qualifications in Systems Engineering, Engineering Computer Science, or a related field
- You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in requirements management within the defence or a related industry.
- You have a understanding of systems engineering principles and requirements management processes.
- You are proficient in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- You have experience with defence industry standards and regulatory requirements.
**Eligibility**
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
