Life Scientist Technician

AHM Consulting Pty Ltd has been authorised by Inventia Genetic Technologies Pty Ltd to recruit a skilled and experienced Life Scientist Technician. This is a rare opportunity for individuals to join a motivated IVF Lab Team based in Newmarket working in large-scale livestock reproduction programs.

This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of $70,000 - $75,000 per annuum plus superannuation.

Inventia Genetic Technologies Pty Limited (IGT) is a highly respected, biotechnology company based in Newmarket, Brisbane, which brings to Australia the most advanced and efficient bovine breeding technology in the world, using In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking to expand our team to include another experienced and enthusiastic Life Science Technician.

Due to our varied project load, we are looking for Life Science Technician who can providing reproductive services and support to the business and livestock operations.

Your primary task will include:
l Preparation and set up of lab equipment.

l Semen receipt and organisation

l Receiving and fertilising Oocytes according to Fertilisation protocols and laboratory standards.

l Management of incubation processes

l Preparation of embryos for transport

l Care, assessment and calibration of incubators and lab equipment

**WHAT SKILLS WILL BE AN ADVANTAGE?**

l Degree or equivalent in a related field - i.e., Veterinary studies, Life Scientist, Microbiology, Biology, Entomology, Zoology Biochemistry.

l Previous laboratory experience in invitro Fertilisation or a comparable role.

l Proven ability to provide attention to detail, prioritise, and meet deadlines.

l Demonstrated ability to liaise with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.

l Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

l Ability to work as part of a team and provide assistance and guidance to others as required.

l MUST HAVE VALID QLD DRIVERS LICENCE AND OWN CAR.
