Join our client, a leading global mining company with a highly reputable brand within in the industry. We are currently hiring a Spares Specialist to be based at our clients fantastic Perth CBD office. The Spares Specialist submits the request for the creation, update and extension of catalogued materials (spares) for the Project in accordance with relevant BHP Cataloguing and Inventory policies and procedures, and keeps track of creation and update of these materials in SAP.

Key responsibilities include:

- Engages with Ops Readiness Asset Integration Lead or Reliability Engineer to identify the materials that need to be catalogued and stocked for the for the Project.
- Engages with other team members of the Ops Readiness Asset Integration team (Reliability Engineer, Master Data Specialist, Technical Writer, Bill of Materials Specialist) and other stakeholders (operational, maintenance, engineering, Supply, vendor and project teams) to obtain relevant technical information as required.
- Adheres to Supply practises for cataloguing management.
- When required and in the absence of a Bill of Materials Specialist, works with Master Data Specialist to create BOMs.
- Works with Inventory, Warehousing and Purchasing teams to ensure material stocking parameters are updated and purchase orders for stock are created where required.
- Works with Inventory and Warehousing teams to ensure all capital and commissioning spares are stocked in warehouse, following the Return to Warehouse (RTW) process.
- Monitors progress of creation and update of catalogued materials until completion.

To be successful for this role, you will have the following:

- Experience managing catalogued and stocked.
- Familiar with SAP Supply Master Data.
- Familiar with systems and tools used to manage catalogued materials (e.g. SparesFinder).
- Proficient in the use of the SAP Materials Management (MM) modules (Purchasing, Warehousing and Inventory Management).
- Familiar with the management of operational, capital and commissioning spares.
- Confident with seeking further information to ensure understanding where required.
- Confident with seeking guidance when lacking direction or information, and with escalating risks and issues to team leaders.
- Strong attention to detail.
