Horticulturist/gardener

**About The Role**

The majority of our work is within the garden maintenance sector in addition to small project work including garden makeovers and soft landscaping.

Effective Full Time Salary Range $50,000 to $60,000 with the role starting at 3 days per week ($30,000 to $36,000 equivalent) with the view to increase the days as the business grows.

Ability to provide additional days during the week when required is advantageous as the idea is this will transition into a full time role.

**About You**

To be successful for the role you would be required to demonstrate the following:

- A qualification in Horticulture and/or experience within the field;
- Hardworking, punctual and reliable;
- High attention to detail;
- Excellent team work skills and ability to work autonomously;
- Demonstrated experience in garden maintenance and soft landscaping;
- Willing to travel to job sites; and,
- Current drivers licence and suitable work vehicle.

In this role you will be responsible for numerous garden maintenance duties including but not limited to:

- Pruning;
- Hedging/Topiary hedging;
- Fertilising and improving plant health;
- Pest and disease control;
- Soil conditioning and Mulching;
- Lawn care and turf repair;
- Planting and advice on plant choices;
- Entire or partial garden cleanups;
- Tree and plant removal;
- Lawn mowing and edging; and,
- Soft landscaping duties.

(Training in all items noted above will be provided)

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Ferntree Gully VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
