JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is looking for enthusiastic **Food & Beverage Attendant** to join our fantastic Food & Beverage team at the Chapter & Verse Lobby Bar on a** part-time basis during the summer season.**

**About the role**

You’re a food and beverage enthusiast who really enjoys making others feel at home. You will attend tables, take orders, serve orders, and clear tables. Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles. Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar and the floor, including the bar unit, tables, and other tools. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Transport supplies to bar set-up area. Wash soiled glassware. Remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables and place them in the dishwasher, then re-stock the different areas based on the type of glassware. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Process all payment methods. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank. Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas. Complete closing duties.

**Critical responsibilities**:

- Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional service is provided to all guests
- Warmly welcome & serve our guests
- Be an expert on the hotel, know it inside and out to ensure our guests receive a dynamic service experience
- Meet & connect with our guests and give them an experience beyond their expectations
- Assisting all guests with menu, dietary requirements and recommendations
- Ensuring accuracy with requests, orders and service delivery
- Use of POS system
- Stock ice, glassware and paper supplies.
- Ensuring all service areas are immaculate
- Promoting safety and support WHS practices
- Previous experience in food & beverage service, ideally in a hotel environment is a big plus
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (RSA)
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Barista skills advantageous
- Beverage knowledge desirable
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
