Farm Manager - Sunshine Coast
Situated on the Sunshine Coast our client is one of South East Queensland's most eminent horticultural growers supplying major supermarkets in QLD, interstate and also supplying several export markets. We are seeking a Farm Manager with considerable experience in large scale irrigated row cropping ginger/vegetable production.

The role calls for someone who understands the urgency of intensive production, with an emphasis on forward planning and systems. You must be well organised, methodical and timely. You will have the ability to work with the Farm Management team, Agronomists, and operational staff in a highly integrated business. Roles include but are not limited to;
- Manage all aspects of farm production from ground preparation, planting, irrigation, plant nutrition, pest and disease control through to harvesting.
- Supervise and manage all farming personnel and ensure compliance with all OH&S requirements.
- Implement forward forecasts for all planting and harvesting activities across 2 large farms.
- Manage farm staff and contractors to ensure production targets are met on time and on budget.
- Manage and coordinate logistics to ensure produce is delivered in optimum condition to the pack house.
- Oversee the general maintenance of farms, buildings, plant and equipment. Prepare monthly management reports on production output levels and associated costs.
- Be responsible for the control of day-to-day operations and maintenance including the setting of work schedules.
