**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Consultant Geriatrician within the Northern Adelaide Geriatric Service

Geriatrics Service Area provides comprehensive geriatric medicine service within NALHN. These services include, but will not be restricted to:

- Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit (GEM Modbury Hospital)
- Community based Older Persons Health Service
- Inpatient acute care of older people services
- Inpatient geriatric consultative services.
- Rural Consultative and Outpatient Service in the Inner North (based in Gawler & Port Pirie)
- Care Awaiting Placement (Gawler/Parafield Gardens)
- Contribute to the provision of high standard clinical services to patients of NALHN and referred to the area geriatrics service.
- Contribute to teaching/training at undergraduates and postgraduate levels.
- Participate in research.
- Services will be provided across the NALHN and may include some visits to rural South Australia.

To be eligible for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
