**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

We are looking for a suitable Kitchen Hands to work at Monash Medical Centre Food Services (Clayton). The vacancies available are a part time position for the morning (AM) shift with a rotating 2 week roster and two part-time positions covering 7 days a week commencing at 12:30 pm and experience in a similar work environment will be considered favourably.

**A Day in the Life**:
Working as part of the Monash Medical Centre Food Services team, the Kitchen Hand will be committed to work in a team environment and ensure kitchen cleaning meets compliance requirements and works within the values of Monash Health.

You must have a good understanding in:

- Kitchen cleaning from a Food Safety compliance
- Personal hygiene and hygienic practices when working in the kitchen environment
- Stock rotation when organising and or cleaning the fridges and or freezer

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Cleaning of kitchen equipment
- Dish washing
- Pot washing
- Food preparation (mínimal)

**Shifts Available**:
AM Shift (Rotating 2 weeks roster) - 56 hours per fortnight

Week 1 - Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8.00 - 16.30

Week 2 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8.00 - 16.30

PM Shifts (2 positions available)

Monday - Sunday 12.30 - 21.00

**What You Need**:

- Food Handling Certificate (SITXFSA001) - Essential
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in a commercial or hospital food service
- A good understanding of kitchen cleaning from a Food Safety compliance
- A good understanding of personal hygiene and hygienic practices when working in the kitchen environment
- A good understanding of stock rotation when organising and/or cleaning the fridges and freezers with consideration to First in First out
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
