The opportunity
The National Manager, Clinical Risk is responsible for developing, implementing and facilitating best practice systems and processes for clinical risk management and open disclosure across Regis, including ensuring that external reportable incident requirements are being met such as for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Coroner.
This includes: policies and processes, undertaking clinical risk assessments, clinical incident triaging and review, conducting and coordinating clinical incident investigations, facilitating recommendations for improvement processes, undertaking staff training, analysing clinical risk data and facilitating and supporting governance and monitoring processes.

- Facilitate education and training program in clinical incident management and open disclosure

What you'll bring to the role
- Clinical qualification in a health-related discipline
- Relevant experience within an Aged Care or Health Care environment
- Highly developed understanding of clinical risk management, clinical incident investigation and open disclosure principles and processes
- Proven ability to collect and analyse data, report on findings and develop recommendations for improvement
- Understanding of the legislative, regulatory and medico-legal related requirements applicable to clinical risk management
- Proven success in project management with the ability to
- Develop, implement and evaluate strategies for achieving goals
- Lead change in a complex environment
- Manage competing priorities and respond to emerging needs
- Build the capacity of others to embrace the principles of effective clinical management
- Ability to provide staff education and training programs that promote organisational capability for clinical risk management and open disclosure
- Ability to be self-directed and maintain progress in multiple activities at the same time, having strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to distil information and effectively communicate in writing and verbal to stakeholders to influence change
- Commitment to privacy and confidentiality at all times
To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, supply an NDIS worker screening clearance, current year flu vaccination, and certification proof.
