Our client is a global leader in packaging and resource recovery and has been a pioneer in sustainability since their inception. With an increase in production our client is looking to secure to Mechanically minded superstars to Join the Team. With some of the most advanced capabilities they design and manufacturing paper and cardboard products in their own factories to ensure they continue to be leaders in the industry.

**The opportunity**:
Working as part of the Factory Leadership team you will train and coordinate employees to operate state of the art paper and cardboard machines to produce customised products for major clients. You will work with a positive team and will ensure safety and production targets are met whilst supporting you team to develop their skills and work to provide career progression and a safe stable working environment.

**The key responsibilities**:

- Coach all staff to comply with safety, machine operating, and quality rules and procedures.
- Support identification, investigation and prevention of hazards, near misses and incidents.
- Ensure work areas meet with GMP, housekeeping and cleaning requirements.
- Ensure the team's adherence to standard procedures and guidelines.
- Identify training, and cross-training, requirements for staff; and ensure training is completed. Coach and develop team members as part of succession planning.
- Attend required meetings e.g. daily production, KPI, safety and quality meetings.
- Organisation of lines (people, tools, equipment, parts) to ensure smooth production flow, shift change and plan achievement.
- Develop and encourage a continuous improvement mindset with team members.
- Manage team's wellbeing, activities, and timekeeping.
- Assist and provide adequate guidance and support to all team members.
- Understand, monitor and minimise team's operating costs.
- Provide day to day problem solving with decisive decision making and clear communication.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as supervisor or Team Leader operating Machinery across any sector (Paper industry desirable)
- Safety Focused
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding
- Reliably respectful and hardworking
- Eager to learn and grow
- Fit and able to perform manual tasks Clear communication with team
- Drive accountability within team
- Control operating costs
- Manage absenteeism
- Promote safe workplace behaviours
- Run team meetings
- Maintaining own team's:

- Timekeeping, Wellbeing, Training, Quality standards, and adherence to policies and procedures
