As a STEAM teacher in Frankston tech School, your key responsibilities include:
- Plan and facilitate workshops that engage learners in STEAM education on-site at Frankston Tech School and off-site in partner schools
- Develop, document and deliver Frankston Tech School‘s cutting-edge, technology-rich, project-based and problem-based programs, on-site at Frankston Tech School and off-site in Partner Schools, industry and community and organisations, and the broader Chisholm Institute Tech School Network.
- Develop and facilitate planned professional development workshops to teachers and industry audiences in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, including through modelling Frankston Tech School’s Teaching and Learning Framework.
- Engage actively with innovations in industry and research, and develop and maintain proficiency in the Tech School’s resources, to ensure programs remain cutting-edge, engaging, and meet student needs.
- Build relationships and liaise with key stakeholders, such as employers, schools and other education providers to support the profiling of pathway options for learners.
- Research, and share insights from, best practice STEAM pedagogy and innovative teaching methodologies that enhance the student and teacher experience.
- Ensure high-quality equipment, software and materials are integrated into teaching and learning activities.
- Engage with school partners to ensure high levels of student opportunity, participation, engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment
**ABOUT YOU**
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.
**Qualifications required for the role**:
- Graduate or bachelor's degree in teaching or education and Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), or
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the Standards for RTOs 2015
