**Casual Position Overview**:
**Home Support Workers help our clients with**:

- Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
- Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
- Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.

**Requirements**:

- ** Must have mental health experience / supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities.**:

- They would also need to commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients. - We offer flexibility for work within school hours with the casual position.
- Our aim is to roster with permanent shifts, so being reliable and great with communication is integral to thrive in this role.

**Home Support Workers are Required to have**:

- National Police Check (Less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
- Driver’s License.
- Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
- (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.

**Remuneration**:
Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages with the addition of generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for the casual rates of a home support worker. Remuneration is divided into two sections: the base rate for disability and aged care services, and then the allowances and reimbursements.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Experience in supporting with behaviours of concern.
- Registered, road-worthy, and insured vehicle.
- Available from 12pm-8pm on Weekdays (Tuesday and Thursday).
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks referred to in the position overview.
- Alignment with company values.
- Ability to meet compliance and qualification criteria referred to in the requirements.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
