Combining tradition with innovative techniques, our bar delights guests with elevated classic cocktails crafted from exquisite boutique Italian spirits and seasonal local ingredients. Additionally, we boast an extensive selection of vermouths and amaros.

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Bar Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive support to the Director of Beverage in all aspects of staff training, bar service, and operations.

Key Requirements for a'Mare:

- Full-time Australian working rights
- Minimum of two years of managerial experience
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent personal grooming standards
- Desired knowledge of Italian language (not essential), with a preferred understanding of Italian food and beverage
- Essential bar experience
- Ability to multitask, perform under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Positive attitude, eager to learn, share knowledge, and actively contribute
- Genuine passion for delivering extraordinary culinary experiences

Additional Requirements:

- Fluent spoken and written English
- Current NSW RSA
- Polite and mature demeanor
- Customer service experience
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, Italian spirits, and liqueurs
- Familiarity with hospitality cost control measures
- Comfortable with reporting daily operations and financials
- Strong team-building and delegation skills
- Experience in maintaining relationships with beverage companies

Responsibilities include:

- Continuous training and development to maintain up-to-date knowledge
- Directly reporting to the General Manager of the restaurant
- Managing bar operations
- Supervising and training bar staff
- Implementing cost control measures to meet budget expectations
- Designing and maintaining the cocktail and beverage lists
- Maintaining relationships with beverage companies
