**The Role**
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is passionate about care, to join our beautiful facility located in Harden.
**What you will do**
Reporting to the Residential Services Manager, the Maintenance and Grounds Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe, inviting environment for residents and staff, that enhances residents’ quality of life. This includes managing any maintenance works of the facility, grounds, and gardens, environmental safety, and waste management.
- Undertake environmental safety audits, managing hazards and taking corrective action
- Maintain a system and schedule of preventative and corrective maintenance works
- Action maintenance requests in a timely manner relative to risk and priority
- Keep a record of maintenance works with necessary information, including details of action taken
- Maintain the grounds and gardens in a clean, tidy and homelike manner
- Ensure safety of equipment, garden fittings and furniture
- Ensure waste is managed effectively in line with local council guidelines
- Engage with contractors as required for specialised maintenance tasks and/or waste management
**What you will bring**
- At least 2 years’ experience in as similar role, ideally within a residential aged care setting
- A focus and dedication to resident and employee safety
- Good communication, stakeholder management and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Hold and maintain an NDIS Check (or willing to obtain)
- Influenza and all three Covid-19 vaccinations (or willing to obtain)
