**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and detail orientated **Purchasing Officer** to join our head office in **Murarrie** on a **full-time basis**. Joining our high performing purchasing and supply chain team, you will be key in the development and expansion of our established purchasing processes and procedures of our global product

As the **Purchasing Officer**, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Manage daily supply demand for parts including raising quotes, purchase orders and transfer requests
- Establish and build new and existing supplier relationships in key supply requirements
- Liaise with logistics and transport suppliers and providers
- Update and maintain pricing, supplier, and stakeholder records - CRM & other databases
- Manage quality issues including returns with suppliers
- Assist in the development of procedures for purchasing, procurement, and product management.
- Source alternate suppliers when required
- Maintain supplier database and ERP database functionality
- Active member for continuous improvements projects such as savings and transfer projects.
- Provision of high-level customer service and response to internal and external queries.
- Professional and adaptable approach to customer requests and requirements
- Demonstrate the intent to provide highest level customer service as required by the role.
- Problem solving where required and provide permanent solutions

**About you**:
You will be a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working in a role where no day is the same. You will be a strategic thinker and be able to think on your feet when a problem arises.

**Your skills and qualification**:

- 3-5 years’ experience as a Purchasing Officer
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Authentic customer service, interpersonal & communication skills
- Knowledge of purchasing and procurement practices and trends
- Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Understanding of Supplier pre-qualification practices and procedures
- Assisting in development and delivery of RFQ and RFP to suppliers and partners
- Computer literacy with intermediate to advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong working knowledge within integrated ERP, supply chain and inventory management system.
