As an Education Support Officer, your key responsibilities include:

- Support students in the classroom and in workshops by working one-to-one with students or in small groups to reinforce and clarify lesson content, where duties may involve:

- Language and literacy support
- Numeracy support
- Lesson context
- Maintaining student focus
- Scribing
- Ensuring that OH&S is maintained
- Provide support on group excursions
- As requested by the Education Manager, provide support to the class teacher with monitoring work placements
- Assisting the teaching staff during peak periods, where duties may include:

- Supporting students to complete forms, such as during enrolment times
- Assisting with updating student records e.g. health declaration, student contact details etc.
- Assisting with phoning students in consultation with teaching staff regarding non-attendance during classes or excursions
- Photocopying of administrative material.

**ABOUT YOU**

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed sensitivity towards and understanding of people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

**Qualifications required for the role**:

- A relevant qualification at post-secondary level or equivalent relevant experience
- A Victorian Drivers Licence
- Level 1 First Aid Certificate
