**About the Role**:
The Disability Inclusion Officer (DIO) plays a key role in supporting students with disabilities, health conditions, or mental health challenges to access and engage in their education at The Gordon. Working closely with students, staff, and external support services, the DIO ensures equitable access to learning by advising on best inclusive practices, facilitating reasonable adjustments, and negotiating alternative assessments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with The Gordon community to promote best practices in inclusion and accessibility.
- Facilitate reasonable adjustments and alternative assessments to support student success.
- Engage with students regularly through face-to-face meetings, phone, or video consultations to ensure ongoing support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, staff, and external support networks.
- Liaise with external service providers to enhance student outcomes.
- Deliver presentations at information sessions, promoting inclusive practices and available support services.

**About You**:
To succeed in this role, you will need exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Your understanding of diverse learning needs, combined with strong relationship-building skills, will ensure positive outcomes for students. Experience working in education or disability support will be highly regarded.
