Distribution Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Distribution Supervisor to join ARYZTA Australia Pty Ltd based in Victoria.

Reporting to the Logistics and Distribution Manager - South Australia / Victoria this role will be responsible for supervising employees and product to ensure the vehicles are loaded and the dock runs efficiently and effectively whilst at all times ensuring policies/procedures and best practice standards are met. This role is a direct point of contact during all hours for all Distribution business requirements.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Be able to lead the Distribution team and sufficiently fulfil daily requirements when Manager is absent from site;
- Control and liaise with Supply Planning and all 3PL partners for continued stock flow between warehousing and complete frozen orders in a timely manner to ensure on time deliveries in remote and regional areas;
- Weekly SOH reports with 3PL partners and timely reporting to finance for end of week finished goods variance;
- Complete all stock transfers within a timely manner in line with finish goods procedures;
- Complete data collection daily in accordance with budget requirements to enable efficient updating for P&L weekly forecasting and results;
- Effective deployment of assets and resources within the Distribution team;
- Plans, develops and directs all loading dock practices and methods to assure on time deliveries within customer guidelines;
- Plan effective delivery scheduling for 3PL partners during PH’s and peak periods requirements;
- Direct the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment;
- Weekly updating of fleet maintenance records ensuring timely serving intervals are met;
- Reports are prepared accurately and submitted in accordance with all deadlines;
- Day to day Distribution supervising: e.g. ensuring accurate count and check off quantities of customer products against Daily worksheets; correct stock rotation on floor of Customers’ product and allocation of shelf life to Customer’s runs; liaise with Supply Plan Team re variances; correct dispatch and documentation of frozen 3PL’s; liaise with Internal Stores Team to maintain sufficient levels of supplies; management of pallets.
- Console all regional pallet movements and update systems required.
- Adhere to all Chain of Responsibility laws and policies associated to their duties.

**People Management**
- Establish and maintains effective working relationships and two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel throughout the Company;
- Supervision of team members - must be able to give directions to team members and deal with any issues that occur in accordance with ARYZTA processes including roster management, leave management, contingency planning; team meetings;
- Identify and provide training where required, or as directed to develop the skills of team members.

**Policies and Procedures**:

- Adhere to all Company and local Policies and Procedures and SOPs including Food Safety and Product Quality, including any amendments, or new policies and procedures that may be implemented.

**OHS**:

- Ensure OHS standards and procedures are maintained at all times;
- Promote and practice safe work methods;
- Follow quality system procedures and safety practices;
- Role model appropriate behaviors to all staff;
- Reports injuries immediately and completes Incident Reports immediately;
- Suggest improvements and preventive actions for the Company;
- Participate in Risk Assessment and formulating SOPs as required.

**Critical Competencies**:

- Experience of having successfully supervising teams 6+ in a 24/7 environment;
- Physically fit for role (pre-employment medical will be required - ability to lift/lower/move up to 15kgs in a safe manner);
- Current MR Truck licence as a minimum;
- Current fork lift licence;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- The ability to work autonomously when required;

- Have a strong commitment to act and work in a safe manner at all times;
