Job Title: Storeperson

Start date: ASAP

End date: 6 month contract (Potential for extensions)

Pay rate: $35 per hour plus super

Location: Kilsyth

Work Days and Hours: Monday to Thursday either 6am-2:30pm or 6:30am to 3pm. On Friday 6am-12 or 6:30-12:30pm

(Total hours worked is 38 hours a week).

Our client is a corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems.

They are world’s largest independent designer and manufacturer of diesel engines.

**Where the role sits within the wider team**: This role sits within the Filtration Business Unit (DBU), which supports supply and distribution of high performing engine oil and filters branches and end customers.

As a Storeperson your duties encompass assembling and labelling filter kits to be dispatched to the end customer.

**Summary of the role**:
As the Storeperson you will perform general pick packer duties such as:

- Picking, packing, wrapping and loading products based on daily orders (assembling cartons/kits)
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking incoming stock
- Scanning and sorting, and labelling outgoing stock
- Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Reports any mechanical problems.
- Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Forklift license not required for this role, but is a nice to have.
- As a team 800 kits are put together a day, these kits can be made up of 2 parts to 40 parts in the one kit.

- How to pick the stock
- How to palletise the stock
- How to wrap the stock

**Soft skills required**:

- Takes initiative
- Team work
- Basic Mathematics skills (being able to count the parts of the kits that they are assembling)
- Ability to follow processes and methodical structure
