**Position: Assembly Lead**
**Location**: Oakleigh, Victoria
**Company Overview**: XM2 Earth is at the forefront of Industrial drone technology. Based in Oakleigh, Victoria, XM2 Earth is expanding our manufacturing team to scale up our production of UAV Tether Systems. Our EON800 Tether System, manufactured in Oakleigh, is one of the world's most powerful tether drone systems and is used in many industries.
**Role Overview**:
As the Assembly Lead, you will play a crucial role in both coordinating the manufacturing process and actively participating in hands-on assembly tasks. You will oversee and guide team members, maintaining quality standards and meeting project deadlines. Reporting to our Lead Engineer, you will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, solve production challenges, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee and coordinate the assembly of and testing of products.
- Actively engage in the hands-on assembly and testing of products.
- Guide and mentor junior team members.
- Identify, address and improve technical and procedural challenges promptly to ensure efficient production.
- Develop and adhere to production schedules, ensuring timely project completion.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes continuous improvement and team development.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace to support productivity and quality.
**Essential Experience and Skills**:
- Experience in professional electrical or electronics assembly.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with the capability to manage and grow a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective in resolving technical challenges swiftly.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and executing accurate assembly tasks.
- Strong communication skills to build effective collaborations with team members, suppliers, and other departments.
- Pass a comprehensive exam to demonstrate proficiency in key role aspects.
- While not required, experience in procurement or inventory control would be highly regarded.
- While not required, hands on experience with RC or Drones would be a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
