**Job description**

S. Antonio da Padova Nursing Home is looking for casual Catering Assistants to join our team. The roles primary focus is to deliver quality food services and assistance to residents of the home.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Preparing sandwiches, salads and other food items as required for residents.
- Reheating of meals and light cooking required.
- Serving of lunch, desserts & evening meal for the residents within the facility.
- Ensuring residents receive the correct food that they require, knowledge of modified foods an advantage.
- Washing of dishes from meal service & kitchen production. Cleaning of kitchen at the end of meal service.
- Preparing food items for the following days production.
- Follow all food safety requirements to ensure safe food is served to our residents.

**Skills and experience**
- The ability to work as part of a team and take direction as required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Residents Rights, and Aged Care Standards and Outcomes
- Must have a current national police check or willingness to obtain one
- Must have Covid-19 vaccination as per NSW Health Guidelines
- Must have flexibility for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings
