**About the role**:
We are seeking casual **Multiskilled Carers**to join the friendly and supportive teams at our Juniper Bethavon Residential Aged Care Facility in **Northam**and our Juniper The Residency Residential Aged Care Facility in** Northam**. Juniper Bethavon is a 33 bed facility and Juniper the Residency is a 45 bed facility. Both sites pride themselves on a homely atmosphere and community feel. Ongoing close relationships are built between long-term staff, residents, their families, and the local community.

Whilst working as a Multiskilled Carer you will provide person-centred care and assistance in a manner that best enables each resident’s independence, respects their rights, satisfies their daily living requirements and enhances their quality of life. It will be important that you embrace Juniper's core values and follow our policies and procedures.

There is casual work available at each Northam site to cover planned and unplanned leave.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide assistance to residents with hygiene needs including; bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming and personal care
- Support the maintenance or restoration of residents' independence by providing assistance to engage in activities of interest and use mobility aids where required
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and report information to relevant Nursing, Allied Health and Management
- Maintain effective communication in the workplace, being respectful, open to change and kind in your approach
- Assist residents with the administration of correct medication in accordance with Juniper policies
- Comply with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements

**Key requirements**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care - desirable
- Experience working in aged care - desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate - desirable
- An understanding of aging and dementia
- Awareness of AN-ACC documentation - desirable
- Experience working within a person centred, enabling environment
