This is a unique opportunity to take a lead position within the Thornton Terminal. Reporting to the Terminal Manager (based at the Newcastle Terminal), you’ll be responsible for driving strong and effective Leadership and Management within the Thornton LPG Terminal (this includes drivers). You will play a key role in delivering all of the local level associated tasks aligned to achieving the business strategy and objectives, you will need to be proficient in all activities within operations (E.g. Filling cylinder, delivering cylinders and unloading bulk LPG) enabling you to support the team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Efficient Terminal Operations and Terminal Maintenance & Compliance
- Assist Scheduling to optimise customer deliveries
- Providing consistent and visible leadership across the area of responsibility
- Ensuring that site can demonstrate a Safe, Well Maintained & Compliant Terminal and Fleet
- Maintaining compliance with Internal and External Audit, License & Regulatory Bodies
- Managing and controlling scheduled shut downs and throughput issues - people, planning and organisation
- Demonstrating Strong customer focus both external and internal, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

**Is this you?**

You’ll need to be an experienced supervisor with a track record of upskilling your team.

To be shortlisted you will have:

- Cert IV Trainer & Assessor Qualified (or the willingness to obtain)
- Heavy Vehicle license a must
- Permit Authority (PA) - (or the willingness to obtain)
- General Understanding of managing budgets, through to the desired outcomes.
- Good Understanding of gas or fuel logistics and transport principles and land transport legislation
