**The Opportunity**:
We have opportunities for a Laboratory Traineeship with **Hastings Deering**, a well-respected company in the fields of technology solutions, parts, and service support across a range of industries.

This role will help process laboratory samples in a timely and safe manner.

You will develop the skills to collect, analyse and test samples ranging from lubricating oils, grease, coolants, diesel and emulsion fluids from different machinery used in the mining, construction, refrigeration, aviation and automotive industries.

You will also correlate data, complete laboratory studies, and complete general equipment maintenance.

You will need to be able to work to deadlines and meet reasonable KPIs as well as be able to work on a fortnightly rotation with varied start times between 7am and 9am. **There are future career growth opportunities within this role.**

Undertaking this **two-year traineeship **will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Laboratory Technician.

**About You**:
We are looking for someone who can cope with time pressures, is goal-oriented, and is personally committed to adhering to all safety aspects within the lab.

You will also need:

- High attention to detail
- Ability to be adaptable and accountable
- An interest in sciences and have a Year 12 Certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test, and a police check
