**About the role**

- Are you passionate about people who have a lived experience of mental-ill health having a voice and receiving the best possible supports?
- An exciting opportunity now exists for a Senior Consumer Peer Support Worker to take up a role within one of Eastern Health’s Mobile Support Teams
- The Senior Consumer Peer Support Worker shall work collaboratively with other staff and management of the Eastern Health Adult and Older Adult Mental Health focussed service, to ensure the best possible support and participation opportunities for consumers of the mental health and wellbeing program. This role requires independent and autonomous work practices.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Lived experience as someone who has accessed public mental health services
- Demonstrated ability to work systemically with internal and external services and staff to benefit consumers, carers and families.
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
