Our District’s Oral Health (Dental) services are provided to eligible patients at the following locations: Nepean Centre for Oral Health, Blue Mountains Hospital Dental Clinic, Hawkesbury Dental Clinic, and the Lithgow Hospital Dental Clinic. The team offers public dental services including diagnosis, restorative and preventative treatments, pain relief and dentures.

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality general oral health care and education to eligible patients across the district. You will conduct thorough oral examinations, develop and discuss treatment plans with patients, and ensure informed consent is obtained prior to treatment. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Senior Clinicians, Specialists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Prosthetists, and Dental Assistants to provide comprehensive patient care. You will also support other clinicians and contribute to a team-based approach to oral health management.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Registered as a Dentist, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public
- A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventive / population health approach to patient care
- A demonstrated ability to work within a large team
- A demonstrated commitment to continuing education
