**Work for a Local Council in their arborists tree crew, working fulltime hours on a Casual basis.**

**Pay rate depending on client is $31.82 to $32.28 per hour, locations all over Victoria, South East, West and Central.**

**About Our Client and Role**

Our clients, Local Councils in the suburbs of Melbourne, require Tree Maintenance Officer's and assistant arborists whom will carry our tree works in parks and reserves.

**Skills and Responsibilities include**:

- Complete maintenance requests for Tree Maintenance including tree planting pruning and removal on an ongoing cyclical program
- Tree Replacement and Tree Planting
- Chipping & Mulching
- Liaise with Team Leader Tree and Park Maintenance regarding the condition of Council Trees
- Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with safety standards

**Essential Qualifications and Experience**:

- A trade qualification in Arboriculture/Horticulture (or similar) relevant to the role
- A truck licence is preferred, having a heavy rigid truck licence would be an advantage
- Traffic Management Certificate is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in providing tree maintenance in streets, parks and reserves, and a qualification in arboriculture/horticulture also highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of plant and equipment used in tree maintenance activities including wood chippers, chainsaws, etc
- A sound knowledge of relevant OH&S
- Be an excellent team player

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
