**About us**

We are looking for an experienced Boiler Maker who can fabricate, assemble and maintain boilers, vehicles and other large containers that may hold liquids and gases. This position is based in Welshpool.

**About the Role**:
As a Boiler Maker, you will be responsible for the following:

- Assist with the assembly and fitting of a variety of truck accessories and components.
- Fabrication and weld repairs of mobile equipment, including but not limited to gouging and welding out of chassis, components, cabs, blades, buckets.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of boiler components and the assembly process onto large vehicles or accessories.
- Use specialised tools such as welders, cutters, grinders, and other hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components to construct or repair boilers, pressure vessels, and similar structures.
- Fabrication of parts such as boiler tubes, heating elements and flanges by bending, cutting and shaping metal.
- Welding and soldering components to assemble and repair boiler systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Inspecting and testing completed boiler systems to ensure they function properly and meet quality standards and specifications.
- Performing regular maintenance and repairs on existing boilers and pressure vessels to ensure their efficient and safe operation.
- Collaborating with engineers, designers or management staff to ensure that projects meet safety and quality standards.
- Following safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment and prevent accidents or injuries.

**To be successful, you will possess the following**:

- Relevant and nationally recognised trade qualifications or relevant demonstrated experience.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Great problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Commitment to safety and following standard work procedures.
- Experience in STICK, MIG, TIG, welding.
- History dealing with truck bodies and screens.
