**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and results driven Operations Supervisor to join our business in Eastern Creek NSW. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely and cost-effective processing, manufacturing and distribution of reinforcing bar, heet metal and associated steel products. The position plays an active role in improving efficiencies, leading and influencing a fast growing team to achieve stated outcomes.

**The priorities of the role will include**:

- Supervise and develop team leaders, operators and contractors across two shifts (6-7 personnel)
- Lead operations in a hands-on role with a focus on maximising performance whilst managing day to day requirements
- Lead and set the standard around safety to ensure our employees, customers, suppliers and visitors are safe on our site
- Oversee and deliver on daily production/delivery plans and targets. Satisfy customer demands of quality and delivery
- Manage R&M and site operational services
- Monitor and manage costs against targets
- Implement and facilitate training and work-force planning
- Create an accountable operational culture through establishing and maintaining high standards for safety, quality and operational efficiency.
- Operational administration.
- Hours will be from 1pm to 9.30pm Mon-Thurs and 1pm to 7pm on Friday

**About your experience**:

- Minimum 1 years of experience in an operational supervisor/management role in a similar industry (steel, manufacturing, distribution, construction or heavy industry).
- Ability to hold themselves and others accountable for how and what results are achieved, keeping people informed and provide feedback and support to the team when development is required
- Experience as a logistics or supply chain leader
- Previous OH&S experience and an exposure to simple lean tools such as 5S
- Forklift Ticket
- Proficient in Microsoft, word, excel outlook, teams. ERP system experience would be a bonus
- Strong written and verbal skills.
