Recycling & Waste Maintenance Fitter

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced **Maintenance Fitter** to join the team and **NEW** site in **Brooklyn, Victoria** working hand in hand with the plant’s operators. These are permanent, full time secure roles within a well-established & growing team available. With early starts, early finishes; perfect opportunity for those seeking great work - life balance

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining all plant equipment cost effectively and safely ensuring downtime is limited and injuries and breakdowns are attended to promptly.
**You will have key responsibility in**:

- Assist the stakeholders with new plant design including analysis of drawings, potential plant improvements and planned maintenance improvements.
- Gearbox & bearing removal & refit
- Promote an inclusive team structure
- Assist in training apprentices
- Large screening and hammer mill repair and maintenance
- Materials handling equipment repair and maintenance
- Promote safety and safe work practices at all times

**About you**:

- Fitter - Trade Certificate
- Minimum 1 years’ Fitter experience
- Forklift Licence
- Riggers & Confined Space High Risk Tickets (is desirable but not essential)
- Scissor Lift experience
- Welding experience (is desirable but not essential)
- Possess good organisational and planning skills

Be self-motivated, and have the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Strong attention to detail and ability to plan, prioritise and organise work demands and deadlines will see you successful in this role.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible to work shift work. You must also have a proven work ethic, a sense of initiative, be punctual, professional, safety conscious and possess solid possess time management principles.
