We are an Aged Care Facility located in **Sylvania** with a great work ethic, a “**can do**” attitude and a focus on delivering quality workmanship, whilst interacting with our residents.

**_ Shift : _**_Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. _**

You will work with a wonderful team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day.

You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment and supports individuals to further develop their skills.

**Key responsibilities**:
**The Maintenance officer / Handy person** is responsible for routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home and the Preventative Maintenance Schedule which covers equipment, building, fixtures and fittings and some gardens.
- Perform maintenance tasks - Reactive & Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Maintain records using established systems and processes
- Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom
- Maintain the grounds of the home

**Skills/Requirements**:

- Experience in general handy work, touch up painting, gardening such as weeding, mowing lawns, basic plumbing, cleaning and preventive work for resident rooms and common areas
- The ability to work unsupervised at times
- Daily physical work
- Good communication skills, both verbal and writing
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Attention to detail
- Must be a team player and liaise with others in the team when there is a problem
- Must be an Australian resident with a Working with Vulnerable People Police check
- Whilst not compulsory drivers’ licence is preferred
