**What will you do?**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Designer to join our team In this role, you will deliver a cohesive product range aligned with the target product aesthetic and quality strategy. This entails working collaboratively with key stakeholders to create and deliver a customer centric product range within the required timelines that will drive sales and profitability in line with Targets values.

Other responsibilities include:

- Identify, interpret and implement global print and pattern trends using global trend and market research to add value through design and sales in line with Target handwriting
- Visually articulate and effectively communicate the direction for the season.
- Present trend forecast effectively, including research to support trend.
- Maintain strong aesthetic taste and have an eye for the next trend that is commercial and can be bought in volume.
- Collaborate with and influence the merchandise team to create commercial, customer focused, co-ordinated product ranges that best reflect Target’s handwriting and taste level.
- Effectively present concepts and ranges to key stakeholders with clarity, confidence and results focused.
- Have the ability to negotiate commercial product outcomes with the Merchandise team.
- Create accurate and effective production art which delivers desirable print and pattern.

**What are we looking for?**:
We are looking for a collaborative and passionate Junior Designer for Kidswear with strong influence, tasteful aesthetics and eye for trend. Create original, commercial, customer focused, coordinated product ranges including print and pattern/graphic design that best reflects Target’s ‘handwriting’ to grow incremental sales.

To be successful in this role:

- Proficient in Adobe programs; Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Intermediate use of software such a GBSS, Centric, Office suite.
- Technical skills related to the area of product development. Developing Fabric, materials and construction knowledge.
- Ability to create accurate technical specification drawings.
- Skills and ability to adapt to product types for contained areas of general merchandise design.
- High level of aesthetic taste displayed in relation to colour, composition, materials, coordination and execution.
- 1-3 years’ experience working in the industry
