Position Title: Painting Trades Worker

**Salary**: $76,600- 80,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: At least 1 year

Qualification Required: Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
- Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces to ensure a perfect finish. Sanding or cleaning surfaces to prevent dust from becoming trapped under the paint. Covering portions of the product with tape and paper to prevent the paint or coating from touching those areas.
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering.
- Measuring the thickness of paint or coating material applied using a coating thickness gauge or painter meter.
- Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.
- Setting up and operating machines that paint or coat products. Determining the required flow of paint and the quality of the coating. Using automated painting systems in factories.
- Hanging wallpaper, matching patterns, and trimming edges to achieve a seamless look.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and tidy work environment.

**Skills and Experience**
- At least 1 year of experience in painting trades work.
- Certificate III in Painting Trades Work or equivalent qualification.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle various tasks.
